What we offer

ROAR is supported by a dedicated suite of analytical instrumentationfor rapid orthogonal analysis of reaction. This includes an UHPLC and a SFC/HPLC from Agilent:

Agilent 1290 Infinity II with 6530 Q-TOF MSAgilent 1260 Infinity II Hybrid SFC/UHPLC with 6250 MS
  • Rapid UHPLC analysis
  • High resolution accurate mass analysis
  • Multisampler with cooling (up to 6144 samles)
  • DAD and QTOF MS detection
  • Automated switching between SFC and HPLC
  • Method scouting: screening of mobile phases and columns in a single system
  • Multisampler with cooling (up to 6144 samles)
  • DAD and MS (single quadrupole) detection

In addition, a range of spectroscopic options are available for the in situ analysis of reactions, such as the ReactIR 15 system (Mettler Toledo).

Further analytical capabilities, including NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, X-ray crystallography, are available within the Department of Chemistry Molecular Characterisation Facilities and the new Agilent Measurement Suite.
