Clinical Research Fellow in Neonatal Neurology

We are looking for passionate and committed early career paediatricians who wish to explore a combined clinical and research career as a clinician scientist and to make a big difference to babies with birth related brain injury.

You should have a degree in medicine (MBBS) and prior experience of working in paediatrics and neonatal medicine. Previous research and experience in various neonatal imaging techniques is desirable, but not essential.

You will receive training in various aspects of clinical trials and neonatal brain research including development of publications and grants and access to the various training programs organised by the Imperial Clinical Academic Training Office and NIHR Global Health Training programs. You will have access to a generous research training and travel bursary, and will be eligible to apply for a self-funded PhD fee with discounted fees, if required.

Clinical Trial Monitor

 As the Clinical Trial Monitor/Manager, you would be working primarily on the PREVENT and EMBRACE studies. You will assist with the management and monitoring of the trials and helping with data analysis and publication preparation. This will include building partnerships with oversea stakeholders, ensuring ethical approvals are maintained, and leading on development and delivery of the monitoring plan. You will work closely with the COMET trial’s Clinical Trial Manager and the EMBRACE study’s Clinical Project Manager, to ensure coordinated submission of regulatory and financial reporting.

Clinical Trial Manager

As the Clinical Trial Manager for the COMET study, you will oversee all aspects for the study. This will include travelling to various NHS sites to enable their induction, working closely with the trial Research Nurses and clinical staff for engaging potential participants, reporting to the funder, and developing trial and patient facing documents.. You will work with the EMBRACE project manager to ensure coordination of regulatory submissions for the group, as well as assisting on running the PREVENT study.
