Meet the students (2021-22 cohort)

Clare BakerClare Baker: Clare comes from a strong multidisciplinary background having studied Bioarchaeology at the University of York proceeding her MSc at Imperial. She brings strong communication and collaborative skills from her experience in speaking with researchers in the pharmaceutical industry and working in the charitable sector.

 

Charlie Delilkan

Charlie Delilkan: Currently managing the North West regional portfolio of NIHR's Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) Programme which funds topics and research methodologies that increase the effectiveness of NHS services and benefits patients, Charlie works with a variety of interdisciplinary and innovative researchers. Bringing in-depth knowledge of research infrastructure to the Institute, Charlie has a passion for equality, diversity and inclusion in science and beyond.

 

Olivia JaniOlivia Jani: Olivia has an interdisciplinary background, having studied Humans Sciences at University College London. She is excited by the potential of research to inform policy and practice and has a passion for effective communication to enable this.

 

 

Robert Miller

Robert Miller: Robert is a neuroscience graduate from the University of Edinburgh, specialising in the study of infectious diseases throughout his degree. He now combines science with his love of filmmaking in his masters media production course at Imperial College.

 

Mayah PicoMayah Pico: Applying knowledge from an interdisciplinary background to transmute concepts of infection into art pieces, Mayah is interested in making science accessible to general audiences through visual mediums.

 

 

Anjana VijayAnjana Vijay: Having previously worked as a researcher for Cancer Biology, Anjana aims to bridge the gap between science and society. She is seeking to get science out of the laboratory, build valuable connections, and extrapolate better and informed opportunities while interacting with scientists and researchers.

 

Holly Worrall

Holly Worrall: Bringing an interdisciplinary perspective to the Institute and experience working in the space sector, Astrosociologist and Director of Brand and Digital Content at Slooh, Holly considers the human dimensions of various disciplines via a philanthropic and business orientated outlook.
