Scientists are largely clear about the impact of greenhouse gas pollution on the natural environment. But the ways in which climate change impacts the economy and the solutions to the problem are much less certain. The European Emission Trading Scheme (EU ETS) is the largest market in place to reduce emissions. What are the impacts of this policy on firms’ competitiveness and innovation? Was it successful in reducing emissions? Were there unintended consequences? Can the financial system help us?

This edition of the NexAir seminar series will bring together experts from the Imperial College Business School and beyond to answer these questions and more.

Speakers will continue to be announced.
